Slowly getting there

I will be posting the columns I have written for the Hutchinson News on my blog, along with some additional commentary. Paring what I have to say down to 800 words is painful. I know those of you who e-mail and text message all the time are used to saying it quick and concise, but the real possibilities of being completely misunderstood are greatest when you aren't careful about what you write. Without the context of a personal relationship or the ability to watch the reader for visual clues as to whether they are following you or not, one must at least try to be clear as possible. I know many will disagree with my opinions, but I want them to have an accurate understanding of what those opinions are so the argument is on point.

With a large family and work, I will be limited to how often I check this blog and respond to any posts. Currently my home computer isn't capable of logging on the web so I'm using a computer at work after hours. Hopefully this can be remedied, but the microwave just went out and my car is leaking antifreeze and I just had to replace two windows. . .
